WE NEED A REVOLUTION OF LOVE!

I'm Vincent Frank De Benedetto, pioneering political philosopher, writer, "Agape Master," humanitarian, inventor, presidential candidate, and more; author of the essential new volume in development, LOVE, PROPERLY UNDERSTOOD, THE MOST POWERFUL SOCIAL FORCE AVAILABLE TO HUMANKIND. This is the bible of moral, behavioral, and functional elevation and actualization that our present age is desperate for, and indeed must have, given its present troubling amalgam of human problems and miseries both ancient (crime, hatred, violence, greed, bigotry), and modern (terror, hacking, climate, disinformation, nuclear war, and now A.I.). This volume not only asserts, as do other written works, that we should love others, but presents singular and comprehensive arguments regarding why, and uniquely and importantly, how.

Brothers and Sisters, the human race is in the dark and I, and a small handful of others, are endeavoring to provide the desperately-needed light.

I'm also a New York Times-cited and quoted writer; poet; neologist (creator of new words); Agape Master (uh gop' ay, i.e. brotherly love, "agape" in Greek philosophy); Silence Activist [site down](and here and here); health educator and thinker; pro-brain, anti-A.I. advocate; metal singer, guitarist, and composer (site down); inveterate social observer, and reviewer and critic; and advocate for the appreciation, preservation, even expansion of European-American culture, (site down) and, in fact, any culture worth preserving or defending against profligate attack.

Additionally, in 2024 I engaged in an exploratory effort in support of a run for the U.S. presidency. I'd like to try again in 2028, far more seriously. I'm also the founder of the INTERNATIONAL HEAVY METAL MUSIC ASSOCIATION..

I'm also an erstwhile family caregiver (Father, then Mother); former resident Leafblower & Community Relations Expert at a top national anti-noise organization (details available); and founder of THE FSD GROUP (site down), a comprehensive conceptual framework for my commercial innovation, representing and uniting my fourteen fledgling business entities. I presently maintain a group of about 20 web sites, each of which I conceived, researched, wrote, and built in hand-coded HTML and CSS. See below. The crown jewels of, among, and within the aforementioned work areas has been my prose and music, forming the principal activity of my de facto operational vehicle the DE BENEDETTO MUSIC & WRITING STUDIO, this site, though in recent months, of necessity, my focus has shifted almost exclusively toward writing and research, as 1.) my work in these areas is far more advanced than my work in music, as rife with promise as this latter endeavor is, and 2.) it is so abundantly and irrefutably clear that the world is in dire and urgent need of my specific plan and message of hope and love, the latter principal and force, Brotherly Love, properly understood, literally the only principal that can save humankind.

This vital and necessary shift in my work distribution has resulted in creation of a dedicated vehicle, the CENTER FOR THE PRINCIPLE & PRACTICE OF LOVE specifically for these twin tasks, within the framework of the DE BENEDETTO STUDIO. The DB CENTER is my latest and most important endeavor, different from, and an expansion of, previous research endeavors, in that the DB CENTER is conceived to represent and embody my work in social science, but also enhance credibility and image, and provide work and even living space for scholars or activists of like intellectual pursuit, since the DB CENTER is advertised with a physical location, that is, an actual street address, and a telephone number. The DB CENTER is the new physical address and location of the CENTER.

The body of work that I'm producing within the framework of the DB CENTER also selectively includes special projects of particular import, like my MANDATORY GLOBAL MASKING plan to readily resolve the Coronavirus pandemic.

A Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. enthusiast, for a time I had a large placard of the leader in my living room window, resident there year-round. If the powers that be permit my continuing presence here, I'll emplace a brand new placard of Dr. King, or more than likely a lawn sign.

I hold a B.A. in Philosophy from Seton Hall University. I have one sibling, an adult sister, suffering, in my view and experience, a form of social retardation, or perhaps simply gross narcissism, who has all but removed herself from the family, thus having left my beloved mother and myself to walk through the halls of pain virtually alone during the many years that I caregave first my father, and then my mother. We lost Frank in 2015 and Jean in 2024.

Though everyone loved my mom "Aunt Jean," only one family member, that's one, from both sides of a large, extended Italian family, came to her wake or funeral. Even her own siblings failed to come, or send any family representative.

Such is the disgusting moral and intellectual condition of the human race--and of course this isn't the worst example. Picking up any newspaper and reading the news of the day will do, quite nicely, to illustrate our latest moral obscenities.

The work is multi-platform, but the theme and message are the same regardless of platform or endeavor: books, music, poetry, presidential campaign, t-shirt design, and then later TED talk, radio program, indeed all my endeavors to build a world based on Love, whether resident in one of my many web sites, at my three YouTube channels, or elsewhere. They all form an integrated whole.

I HATE SELFISH PEOPLE.

Selfish people have the power to prevent pain, but don't.

This is a perspective that, given the state of the world in 2020, and the fact that the only personality type I seem to encounter in my life is the narcissist, leaves me continually restive, even tortured.

Additional pet peeves include sloppy filmmaking, like, a character ostensibly pours or otherwise provides themselves a cup of coffee, yet when there is an overhead or slight overhead shot of the cup--where is the coffee? Nowhere. Lazy or hurried filmmakers put nothing in the cup. Nothing says amateur or amateur production like an empty coffee cup that a character is sipping from.

My first and most important suggestion to preserve and indeed actualize the human race is to begin practicing Love toward everyone. The coffee example speaks to my second and final suggestion to preserve the human race:  proper attention to one's job, performing it with as much excellence as one's natural talents permit. At such time that an individual or group of individuals, does this, they can be said to have "actualized." This is the brass ring for any individual or group of individuals, whether friends, romantic partners, a town, city, state--or the entire world.

A television program of real note is Star Trek:  Voyager, as it describes a crew and especially a captain working almost continually to help others; the show remains a fine, unique, and obviously extremely rare exemplar of the love ethic at work, albeit in a fictional setting. Other fictional cinematic narrative favored by me includes the films A Beautiful Mind, Miracle on 34th Street, and A Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim.

I'm also a continuing student of the erstwhile television program Terminator:  The Sarah Connor Chronicles (site down), for its sophisticated and plausible portrayal of "Cameron," a modern humanoid A.I. (Artificial Intelligence), that I consider a springboard for analysis and discussion of real-world A.I., present and future. I also treat this key topic at yet another of my sites, NONDIGITAL SOLUTIONS (site down; see THE DECLINE OF MIND).

Interested and active in many areas, including business, technology, and culture, as well as political philosophy and health, I've corresponded with Steve Jobs, legendary founder of Apple Computer; spoken with Congressional Fellow Elbert Garcia in Congressman Charles B. Rangel's office in Washington, D.C. on matters of war and peace; in an important effort in musical forensics, corresponded with the last surviving person with an immediate family connection to lyricist Chet Powers (aka "Dino Valenti"), composer of the 1967 classic song Get Together, a musical piece featuring profound and socially urgent lyrical poetry, who may have had knowledge of the explicit meaning of those lines, this person being the husband of Katherine Powers, Chet's sister, as Katherine, herself, whom I had originally attempted to correspond with, had just passed away.

I'm the son of Frank Salvatore De Benedetto, musical composer, poet, and author of the substantive and important musical candidate for official New Jersey state song, Let Us Talk About the People (site down). Promoting the anthem, my Father made a televised guest appearance on the old Joe Franklin Show (video pending). As a musical composer, businessman and old-style traveling salesman, and in some measure local "character," my Father was also the subject, with photographs, of several newspaper features over the years (reprints pending).

My Mother, Jean De Benedetto, whom we recently lost, was an Executive Legal Secretary with a North Jersey law firm for over 20 years. Known as the go-to person to learn how to do just about anything, she was, and is, genuinely beloved by her co-workers. Her former co-worker Evelyn said to me about a month ago, for example (around October 01, 2017), with no prompting, "I love your Mom." While I, her son, was chiseling out theory in social science in the area of the Love Ethic, or Brotherly Love, my Mother was already practicing Love day-to-day with her co-workers, and everyone else.

AGAPE TRILOGY, DEFINED

My AGAPE TRILOGY is, itself, part of a multi-part body of work including prose (i.e. books, articles), poetry, a musical project, a radio program, and real-time in-person outreach such as speeches, interviews, and TED talks. I'm creating and promulgating this body of work in service of establishing the BROTHERHOOD OF MAN, an actualized society, that is, a quasi-utopia characterized by moral and technical near-perfection:

Legalization of drugs is a key mistake in that their widespread use, especially marijuana, will erode, then destroy, the trust that any society must have to operate. Drug use also causes a destabilization or other compromise of the human mind inimical to cultivation of the capacity for, and inclination toward, Love, which society must also have to operate, or certainly to actualize, that is, to operate with all latencies and potentialities realized, and even to actualize with regard to non-love-specific spheres of societal function including the technical and economic.

Research proves it, and you'd better believe it. Noise means physical and psychological stress--and stress kills. Sometimes quickly; oftentimes slowly. Special emphasis on the acoustic weapon euphemized "leaf blower."

Importantly, moreover, undue stress of any kind can interfere with efforts to love, as such efforts, themselves, can be stressful, and many people simply cannot tolerate the aggregate stress.
